Petebuck1 has a graphic grip on the everyday narrative... his words conjour up all kinds of noir' scenarios ... Once i had read 'rude awakening' there had to be a visual response.. I am more than pleased with the collaboration and pleased we have created something unique. Until the next time......

Anyway, the image was drawn from my short non-fiction piece, "Rude Awakening." I then reinterpreted my piece, selected some words, and combined them with Steve's awesome paper and tape collage.
Full reinterpreted text:
Past boiling dream kettle. Summer’s rolling through: buggies, shops, yellow trips; Simon, Paul haunts. We just got out. Heli barely nicked the corners. Creeping 35, a constant flyby. Thick yogurt to placate stomach for the Grexit. Weather fluctuations. D. Storm arrives, wielding a trident, but we only bicker banner banter: a partial systemic shift under the all-pressing thumb, humming blanket of false cell tower stingrays. Ignore, ignore. Shake, shake. Praise the victory for LOVE and HEALTH, but we’re bearing meager diamonds dulled fast by corporate fog.
It had a political/current events strain in it that I eliminated when making the final image. Mostly because I can't speak for Steve. Anyway, I have two other versions of this where I manipulated the image. If Steve gives the okay, I'll post those too. One is darker (not in tone, image-wise), and the other is a psychedelic/abstract take. Let me know if I should post, Steve.
